Wheelchair Accessible Glamping Pod Break | Troutbeck Head, Lake District AD
Hey everyone, it's Emma and Allan! Join us on a road trip to the beautiful Lake District where we stay in a wheelchair accessible glamping pod at Troutbeck H...
schroth-sensei2 CommentsI used to camp when I was really young and strong enough to get myself around, so I do enjoy and appreciate the outdoors, however it would be much harder on me now (and especially on my caregiver/helper) to rough-it in a tent in the woods. I have stayed at a mini-cabin of sorts similar to the one in the video a few years back, though it was on an old farm. It was accessible but not without some minor issues, nothing that really bothered me for the few nights we stayed. Glamping is definitely an option, especially if it’s located somewhere interesting, though I too would prefer a toilet with a backrest other than the one in the video (I assume that was chosen to make cleaning easier).
