• Aloha, my name is Dominic Nobriga. I’m an aspiring graphic/interface designer. I’m from Hawaii and have Muscular Dystrophy. I’ve always wanted to move and live in different parts of the world, especially Japan but was overwhelmed with what I would need to do to make it happen so I never tried.

Then I stumbled upon Josh Grisdales story and also the documentary he was in on YouTube along with the 2 others and it opened my eyes and inspired me to chase my goals.

I now plan on moving to Japan after I graduate next year as long as I find a good job I can work remotely or in Japan!

Also, if anyone needs any design work or even photo editing and light video editing/animation let me know!

      Love
      SDKJapan, kenigor and Josh Grisdale

      • Glad to be of help and excited to have you here!
Do you have a link to your portfolio?

        • @joshgrisdale Excited to be here, you and these communities have given me more motivation!

And I don’t have a portfolio website yet, but I’m working on getting my work organized and posting it on Instagram and a temporary website till I learn how to code my own. For now I can email work that I’ve done to anyone who’s interested. Free or paid gigs or a short/long term job I don’t mind either way since I’m still in school and not a professional yet. Thank you for asking! My email is dn20@hawaii.edu for any inquiries.

      • @kenigor  maybe your place is hiring?

        • I’m glad to know you are chasing your goals and searching for new opportunities around the world! Definitely, Japan is a great option.
If I know something at my place or any other IT company around here I let you know for sure.
A portfolio would be very helpful to show what you’ve done (I will request by email to know a bit also considering my side projects).

          • Yeah, portfolios are a great way to show you know your stuff without needing to sell yourself aggressively.
