When hotels were still a thing 😀 I went to (not stayed in) the Train Hotel in Brussels: it has one accessible room and unfortunately it is not the one that you see in the photos (which is in a real train carriage on top of the building) but it is on the ground floor. The breakfast room and bar has a step, but if you use a portable ramp should be feasible. Not the top of accessibility I know, but I found the photos I took a few months back and though it would be nice to mention anyway. The Train hostel is near the Train Museum, which is all accessible and great fun to visit, super worth the trip!
(I could not visit the accessible room as it was occupied, I highlighted in yellow I the photo the entrance)Josh Grisdale4 CommentsHahaha, your “when they were a thing” comment provided some much needed laughter, thank you!
So, the train is also a room?
Yes, you can see more in their website here https://www.trainhostel.be/en/rooms/train-dorm. It is actually a hostel, sorry, not a hotel! I wrote them asking if there is an elevator, they showed me the accessible room on the ground floor but if they have an elevator big enough, some people may be able to stay in the dorms or family rooms too. Let’s see if they answer, I’d love to add them to the website (have lots of time now to add new content and restyle everything).
I hope they do reply!
Yes, let’s use this newfound thing called “spare time” to work on things we normally can’t!like everyday is like Sunday 😀 but with work to do
