Toyoko Inn is an affordable hotel chain that has accessible rooms. The shower is roll-in as well

We stayed at the MyStays in Kameido, Tokyo Japan. do not reccommend. I will attach some pictures later on when I have more time to.
1). You can get into the lobby just fine. there is a ramp to the side of the steps.
2) lobby bathroom is bigger. I think it shows handicap accessible. My husband was able to help my daughter off and on the toilet.
3) the elevator was quite small but was able to get the scooter, my husband and myself on it.
4). if you get the bigger room, there is a 1 to 2 inch lip you have to go over. if you had a portable ramp it is easy, my husband just picked up the front of the scooter on the smaller end and pushed her over the lip.
5) Room is ok. we got the “bigger” room. The bathroom however, was another story, there is a 12 to 14 inch step up into the bathroom. It was so small that part of the sink was in the tub. If you have any mobility issues, you wont be able to use the bathtub. My daughter was not able to use the restroom in the room. She would call my husband and he would take her down to the lobby to use the restroom. We had to use wetwipes to “shower” until we got to the other hotel.
6) it was a few blocks from the train station and had lots of stores to browse.

Next we stayed at the Sun Royal Hotel Kameoka, in Kyoto
This was RIGHT NEXT TO THE TRAIN STATION!!!!
It was much nicer place. there was a stadium behind the hotel, but you wouldnt really know it.
1. small elevator but fit her scooter and 4 people
2. room was smaller but SHOWER WAS GREAT and bigger!!!
3. breakfast was great and included. it can get a little crowded so you may have to wait.
4. they have a manga lounge
5. did I mention the shower was great and its by the train??!!??!!
6. you can make a massage appt.
7. they had an onsen.
We liked this one better.
So pick your choice, bigger room, smaller bathroom or smaller room, bigger bathroom.
