Hi everyone, new to the group! I am traveling to Japan to take my mother on a trip. She has a bad leg, and walks with a cane. I suggested we occasionally use a small manual wheelchair and reached out to Accessible Japan but never heard back from them.

Welcome. I have the same question lol I’ve been looking around so far I’ve found that the Haneda Airport has wheelchair rentals offered on their website. I haven’t tried to book one yet or anything. But I did see it there. Maybe you can start there?

i wnder if thats jsut for the airport or for the trip but thank you i will look into that. Wonder if Accessible Japan will get back before we leave. I will let you know what i find

Good Day I need to rent a Joy Cart for my sister who has a very bad ankle sprain. Could anyone explain what the difference would be between the shielded battery and removeable battery type as well as the type for overseas users? Thanks so much 🙂

There is no significant performance difference between the shield-type and the removable-type batteries, but considering charging at hotels and similar places, the removable-type may be slightly more convenient.
