    • I’m from CA.

At home, the state pays for my in-home personal care assistant (PCA). When I travel, the PCA can’t travel with me. So, I have to pay for a PCA ‘out of pocket’ just to help me for two hours each day.

    • I need a power wheelchair or scooter for any distance. Our travel agent seems to think we could have difficulty or need a special license. Any info will be helpful. Going to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. Thank you!

they are particularly interested in the medications and medical supplies and equipment. I had to list out each item and get approval. I also need a doctors letter to prove the disability.

        • Hi, I live in Japan and use a foreign made power wheelchair and before moving here I brought my wheelchair numerous times. So, there should be no problem there.

Scooters on the other hand, while they don’t need a license, they can be a bit more limited in where you can use them.
